Merry Christmas everyone!

My father always raved about his mother's crusty bread and he talked about his father constructing an outdoor oven for his mother. I have checked out many sites and read many articles on how to build one but I was wondering if the German ovens were shaped any differently. Were they unique in any way? Does anyone have a photo of an old brick oven? Wasn't there just, one central, communal oven in the Russian villages?
