HARRISBURG - Phyllis I. Crittenden, 68, of Harrisburg, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
Her memorial service will be Sept. 10, at 10 a.m, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Sheila Taylor officiating. Cremation was at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory.
A memorial has been established to the Panhandle Humane Society in Scottsbluff. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com
Phyllis was born April 5, 1940, at Scottsbluff to Paul and Dolly Kurtz. She grew up in Scottsbluff and graduated from the Scottsbluff High School. In 1971, she married J.R. Crittenden at Cheyenne, Wyo. They made their home at Lake Winter Creek at Minatare. J.R. preceded her in death on May 16, 1997. Phyllis later met Harold Buhr, her loving partner, and they have spent the last ten years together at Harrisburg.
Phyllis was a devoted animal lover. She attended the Hull United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her partner, Harold Buhr; daughters, Kimberly (Daniel) Rivera of Phoenix, Ariz. and Kristine Crittenden (Jason Stallbaumer) of Kansas City, Kan.; grandchildren, Nathaneal and Haley Rivera; Harold's children, Henry (Christine) Buhr, Ernie (Judy) Buhr, and Rosemary (Doss) Kaizzire all of Scottsbluff and David Buhr of Gillette, Wyo., and many grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.R. and sister, Beverly.
