Randall Nuss, age 45, of Fort Lupton, Colo., died Aug. 16, 2008, at his home. He was born on March 28, 1963, in Tucson, Ariz., to Donald and Carol (Baab) Nuss. He grew up in Greeley, graduating from University High School in 1982. On April 19, 2000, he married Pamela Dechant in Greeley.
Randall was the third generation of his family to join the U.S. Navy, where he served for 12 years. His daughter followed in his footsteps and is currently serving in the Navy as well.
Randall enjoyed farming, tinkering in his shop, fishing, travel, outdoors, skiing, biking and hiking. He loved to cook, especially barbecue and making homemade ice cream. He was an all-around handyman and a big kid at heart.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Greeley.
Randall is survived by his wife, Pamela Dechant of Fort Lupton; daughter Joni Nuss of Goose Creek, S.C.; parents, Carol and Jerry Keever of Fort Myers Beach, Fla.; brother Kirk Nuss of Johnstown, Colo.; and sister, Jenni and husband Dustin Stugart of LaSalle, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Services were held on Aug. 20 in Greeley. Interment took place at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton, Colo.
