Larry Kammerzell, 45, of Billings, passed away on Sept. 4, 2008, at St Vincent Healthcare. The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, at Smith Funeral Chapel, located at 925 S. 27th St., Billings, Mont.

Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the funeral services

Larry was the youngest of six children born to Ralph and Dorothy Kammerzell on Dec. 26, 1962. With five older siblings, Larry grew up in a busy home where his mother's German cooking was the norm. Obviously, Larry inherited her cooking skills and was a great cook both at home and at work.

Early in his life, Larry started working at CJ's Restaurant and was a cook there for 21 years. Larry continued his cooking profession for another seven years while working at the Winners Circle Casino until his health failed.

Not only did Larry have a passion for cooking, his passion for sports was even greater. The Miami Dolphins don't know it, but they just lost one of their most loyal and dedicated fans. Win or lose, Larry loved his Dolphins.

Larry was a no-nonsense type of guy with a loyal dedication to his job and friends.

Larry loved the outdoors and you could find Larry at his best when he was camping and fishing.

Larry is survived by his father, Ralph; his brothers, Tim (Luann) Kammerzell of Billings and James (Janet) Kammerzell of Billings; his three sisters, Karen (Steve) Benson of Billings, Lynette Lambert of Billings, Theresa (Ron) Cummings of Billings; eight nephews and nieces and four great-nephews and nieces.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Kammerzell; niece Tammy Lambert; Grandparents Ted and Elizabeth Kammezell; and Grandparents George and Lydia Brester.

Larry's family extends their gratitude to the medical staff, fifth floor, St Vincent Healthcare.
