Subject: [GV] Questions on a couple of villages

Is there any information on the village of Kind, other than the census in 1798? I am trying to find out more about the Pickelhaupt family. What I really would like to know is what village they came from in Germany: I believe the state was the modern Hesse.
 
The other side of my family, the Koenigs and Botts, show up in the 1798 census for Katharinenstadt; I understand there is a census taken in 1776 for this village: where would I find that? As with the Pickelhaupts, I'm looking for the village of origin for the Koenigs and Botts as well.
