Colette June Hoppmann

CASPER -- A funeral service for Colette June Hoppmann, 72, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark McLagan officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Bustard's Funeral Directors and Crematory.

She died June 22, 2005, peacefully at her home.

Born June 28, 1932, in Mandan, N.D., she was the daughter of Mathias and Mary Boehm. She graduated from Mandan High School in 1949. She later attended Casper College, where she majored in English.

Moving to Casper in the early 1950s, she worked for Salt Creek Freightways.

On Aug. 24, 1955, in Casper, she married Lawrence F. Hoppmann. After her marriage, she became a homemaker, raising a family of three sons, two of whom are twins.

In her leisure, she enjoyed the companionship of animals, stamp and coin collecting and being in the outdoors. She also enjoyed literature, which led her to further her education at Casper College. She will be remembered as a person of enduring faith and a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her sons, David Hoppmann and his wife of Brownsburg, Ind., Gerald Hoppmann and his wife of Frankfort, Ky., and Ken Hoppmann and his wife of Lincoln, Neb.; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters.

Memorials in her honor can be sent to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 318 E. Sixth St., Casper, WY 82601, or left in care of Bustard's Funeral Home.
