Edward Lind

Edward Lind, 78, of Eaton, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado inpatient unit, Greeley.

He was born Feb. 20, 1927, to Henry and Elizabeth (Frank) Lind in Windsor.

On Nov. 20, 1959, he married Carol Weitzel at Bethel Lutheran Church in Windsor.

Mr. Lind lived in Severance all his life until moving to the Eaton area in 1979. He was a graduate of the Windsor High School. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran and the Windsor American Legion and enjoyed fishing and attending his grandchildren's activities.

A farmer and rancher for most of his life, Mr. Lind farmed and fed cattle in Severance and owned a ranch in Killdeer, N.D.

Survivors are his wife, Carol Lind of Eaton; two sons, Luke Lind and wife Becky of Eaton and Steve Lind of Las Vegas, Nev.; two grandchildren, Colton and Dalton Lind; and three sisters, Mollie Rudd, Elizabeth Felte and Ruth Barsch and husband Fritz, all of Greeley. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, H.F. "Barry" Lind, Paul Lind and Willie Lind.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethel Lutheran. Private family graveside services will be in the Eaton Cemetery before services on Friday.

At Mr. Lind's request, there will be no visitation.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inc. in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Ave., Evans, CO 80620.
