Esther Brunner, 84, of Greeley, died Saturday, June 7, at the Hospice and
Palliative Care Unit of Northern Colorado.
She was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Greeley to Conrad and Marie (Rehn) Benzel.
On Feb. 25, 1937, she married Helmut Brunner in Windsor. He died Dec. 27,
1997.
She was a lifelong resident of the Greeley area.
She graduated from Greeley High in 1936.
She worked for the Weld County Credit Bureau from 1960-72 as a clerk and
credit processor. She was also a homemaker.
She attended Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing bridge,
showing off her grandchildren and spending time at the family cabin in Glen
Haven.
Survivors are two sons, Robert Brunner of Greeley and Ronald Brunner of
Boulder; two sisters, Emma Heiser and Edith Hoff, both of Greeley; four
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Elmer
Benzel, and sister, Marie Feit.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Allnutt Funeral Service Macy
Chapel.
Interment will be at Linn Grove Cemetery.
Friends may visit from noon-8 p.m. today at the Macy Chapel.
Contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern
Colorado in care of Allnutt, 702 13th St., Greeley, CO 80631.
