Betty Nell Wacker of Longmont died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at her home of
natural causes. She was 69.

She was born April 1, 1933, to Henry and Velva (O'Dell) Jones in Kingston,
Mo. She grew up and attended school around Kingston.

In 1952, she married Fred Wacker in Rochester, Minn. They later divorced.

Mrs. Wacker was a homemaker and cared for her family. She worked at a number
of different jobs, including as an assembly worker at an electronic
manufacturing business, before retiring in 1997.

In 1964, she and her family moved to Longmont from Rochester. In 1977, she
moved to the Longview, Wash., area. She lived in other areas for a while
before moving to Louisville in 1997. She moved back to Longmont in June
2002.

She enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren, who were the joy of
her life. She collected cookbooks and rooster and chicken knickknacks. She
loved to cook.

Mrs. Wacker was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her former husband of Longmont; two sons, Donald Wacker
of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Michael Wacker of Independence, Mo.; two
daughters, Rita Polluconi and her husband Edward of Louisville and Sandra
McPherson of Johnstown; four brothers, Henry Jones and his wife Bette of
Fremont, Calif., Robert Jones of Independence, J.B. Jones and his wife Helen
of Independence and George Jones and his wife Helen of Worthing West Sussex,
England; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at Howe Mortuary,
Longmont.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, in the Chapel at
Howe Mortuary, with the Rev. Bruce McQueen of Westview Presbyterian Church
officiating. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
