Betty,
I have a copy of an early roster of the Evangelical Lutheran Immanuel
Congregation church in Calgary, AB for the years 1900-1903. Johannes is
listed with the birthdate you have and Anna Katherine Repp with a
birthdate of 17 October 1875, born in Norka. Only 2 children were listed
at that time with their birthdates, Christina on the 23 April 1898 born
in Norka, and Johannes, 9 July 1902 born in Calgary. The date of 30
Nov 1902 by the family is probably the date they joined that church.

Then I have a later roster of Jehovah Evangelical Lutheran church. I
don't know the exact years of the roster but I think it cover the 1920s
possibly into the early 30s. The family is listed in this roster. Just
names, no ages, no address. They are the only Koehler family in that
roster.
Koehler, John
Anna Katherine Repp
Alexander
Emmanuel
Wilhelm

The children are usually listed in birth order. So if the children
Johannes and Christina survived, they were probably over 20 years old
and out of the house by the time this second roster was made sometime in
the 1920s.

If you look at the Alberta Family History cemeteries online, in
Burnsland cememtery

http://www.afhs.ab.ca/data/cemeteries/burnsland/burns_k.html

It looks like they are buried there.

Koehler, Anna Katherine1967

Koehler, John1878-1936

Koehler, William1963

The main cemetery page for Alberta cemeteries is at:
http://www.afhs.ab.ca/data/cemeteries/

You can contact the cememtery and find out if they have records for
them.

If you think that perhaps the son John Koehler came to nebraska you
should search the border crossing records. Here is a starting point for
researching those records.
