Bertha (Ehrlich) Keller
TORRINGTON, WYO. - Funeral Services for Bertha (Ehrlich) Keller, 87, of Torrington, Wyo. will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the First United Church of Christ with the Reverend Thomas Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Colyer Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and at the service. Bertha passed from this life on October 8, 2001 at the Goshen Care Center. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church in her honor. The Colyer Funeral Home of Torrington is in charge of the arrangements.

Bertha was born to German immigrant parents Alexander and Elizabeth (Ahlbrandt) Ehrlich on March 21, 1914 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The family settled in Gering, where she grew up and attended public school. They later moved to a farm near Yoder, Wyo. where Bertha met and later married William (Bill) Keller on December 3, 1932 in Yoder. The couple farmed in the Goshen County area for many years and eventually purchased a farm north of the Torrington Experiment Farm. They later sold it and moved to Lingle, Wyo. where they bought and operated a trailer court. They retired in Torrington in the late seventies. Bill died February 1, 1986. Bertha's life was centered around her children and family. She enjoyed poetry and took great delight in reciting poems she learned as a girl. She enjoyed life and many friends she accumulated over the years. She also enjoyed going on Senior Citizen trips to Prairie Winds and Deadwood and loved to play bingo. She was a member of the First United Churc!

Bertha is survived by seven children including: Marlene Wagner and husband Sam, Javene Schutt and husband Dick, Susie Richardson and husband Emmett all of Lingle, Wyo.; Billy Keller of Denver, Colo.; Richard Keller and wife Wilma of Torrington, Wyo.; Audrey Wells and husband Willard of Huntley, Wyo.; and Jim Keller and wife Patty of Boise, Idaho; twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Lepp and husband Albert of Huntley, Wyo. and Esther Harris of Loveland, Colo.; one brother, Sam Ehrlich and wife Leona of Longmont, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; granddaughter, Jeannie Wells; two sisters; and two brothers.
