I have an August Lindt in our genealogy. He and his wife were Volga Germans;
we believe from Lauwe.

Johann August Lindt b. 04 Cot. 1859 in Bremen, Germany; d. 18 Nov 1926,
buried at St. Luke's church cemetery at the ghost town of Kendrick, Colorado.
Kendrick was located 20+ miles east of Colo. Springs; south of Rush. He was
a homesteader and has an 80+ yr. old grandson who lives in the house he built
on these Colorado drylands.

August was m. to Katharina Elizabeth Heidt b. 25 Mar. 1859 in Bremen Germany;
d. 26 Oct. 1937; buried next to August.

They immigrated through Bremen to the port of Galveston, TX on 15 June 1903.
There were three children: (1) August b. 29 Mar. 1884; d. 10 Apr 1955; m.
Annie Elizabeth Grassmick. (2) Christina Margaretta b. 21 June 1886; d. 15
Feb. 1959; m. Henry Grassmick. (3) Gottlieb b. 21 Sept 1888; d. 03 Apr.
1965; m. Mary Swartzkoff. Note: brother & sister Lindt married brother &
sister Grassmick.
