Howard,
Yes, I would be very much interested in recieving a copy of said chart with
the Döring name you have referred to. You are the second person in ten years
who has actually come up with my family name. Please do send that information,
it will gladly be accepted! My Aunt Luise Döring married into the Blum family
of Norka, A Heinrich Blum born in the 1880's.
You mentioned the name Stärkel/Staerkel, and I remember as a child having
met "Old man Staerkel", who was quite the well known violinist in the Portland
Norka Community, or I should say, the Volga Deutsch Community. Another
Staerkel, was a Billy Staerkel. He was a Bandleader, and although I have never
met him or seen his band perform, I have discovered a few of the records he
recorded. Any relation to you, either Staerkel?
One more question, are you related to the George Bauer who was a barber
down on Union Ave. across from Repp Brothers meat market?
