Hmmm, usually the first program I install on a new machine is a linux/unix
utility of one sort or another... But yes, if you're limiting yourself
to windows, then you have to use some protection *and* your brain. To
rely on either without the other, is risky.

I would respectfully submit that your sentence would be more accurate
if shortened by two words.
