Lewis CONKLIN, whose family I am seeking, was married to Laura
("Lollie") Carpenter who was born in Andover, Sussex Co., New Jersey,
in 1870. Lewis was a streetcar conductor in Morris County in the early
1900's. His wife died in 1942 and he spent his remaining retirement
years
living at the Carpenter Maternity Home which was the home and business
of
his sisters-in-law -- "Mama" Linnie and Annie Carpenter; the Carpenter
Maternity Home was located on S. Main Street in Wharton, Morris Co.,
NJ.
Anna Carpenter died in 1950 and Linnie Carpenter died in 1954.

I don't know when Lewis Conklin died, probably the early 1950's. He
and his wife are buried together at the Andover Presbyterian
churchyard, Andover, Sussex Co., NJ in the (Philip)John Carpenter
plot. (Philip) John Carpenter was the Carpenter sisters'father; John's
wife Hester (Johns) Carpenter is buried there too. Hester was born in
Wales, England.

Lewis and Lollie Conklin had one daughter named Helen; Helen Conklin
married a man named Kenneth Bragg and they had quite a few children.
Helen died in Morris County, NJ, ca. 1942.

And that's all that I really know about "Lewis Conklin's Family." I
have noted that there have been loads of "Lewis Conklins" in Morris
County, NJ since the 1700's. Thanks for any help you can give me.
