Kathleen,
The 1901 & 1911 Ireland Census are available thru your local LDS/Family
History Library on microfilm. You would have to go there to order the
one(s) you need, pay the small fee, and then they will notify you when it
is available for viewing at the library.
See
http://familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHL/frameset_library.asp?PAGE=library_co
llection_British.asp
For IRELAND the following records are available thru your FHL:
*Census records 1901 and 1911
*Civil registration indexes 1864-1958 for births and deaths, 1845-1958 for
marriages; some birth, marriage and death certificates
*Catholic parish registers for most counties and some non-catholic records
*Griffith's Valuation and Tithe Applotment records with indexes
What COUNTY of Ireland are you researching?? There are a few partial
transcriptions of the 1901 & 1911 census records starting to appear on the
web for various counties. I am currently involved with a project thru the
SLIGO-L mailing list. A group of volunteers are transcribing several parts
of the 1901 County Sligo census over the summer months and we hope that by
Sept, after editing is completed, that our transcriptions will be posted on
rootsweb and made available to other researchers.
If you can reply to this posting and tell us which COUNTY of Ireland, we may
be able to provide more specific help to you.
