Thank you to all who replied to my post. The time frame varies wildly, so I
won't hold my breath. I understand that I will get a photocopy of the
original SS application. I'm sure this varies quite a bit also, but what is
the quality like? I requested the application of my great-grandmother, who
was born in 1885. I'm afraid I'll receive something that I'll barely be
able to read.
