My Canon UC1 camcorder came with a 12 (input) volt charger for cig
outlet use and a house power charger 110/220 (input) voltage. It will
also run directly off either charger for 'save the battery' situations.
This is nothing new: i bought it in 1991--complete package. Note that
many chargers are dual voltage (110/220) so check it out before you buy
something you may not need for overseas travel.
