I suspect you already have the needed utility and just didn't realize
it. I will use as my example the web browser I use most often, a "rather
ancient" version (1.2N) of Netscape for Windows. I can load any HTML
document into memory by using the File/Open File menu (this assumes you
are working with a file you have previously saved on your hard disk, but
perhaps you are working with a document which you have just downloaded
from "the net", in which case you can skip this step), and I can then
strip the HTML code by using the File/Save as menu, specifying that I
want to Save File as Type "Plain Text".
