A most successful international gathering of the members of the Clan
RATTRAY Society was held Aug 31 at the Dalrulzion Hotel, and Sept 1 at
Craighall, the ancestral seat, both near Blairgowrie and Rattray,
Perthshire. About 100 people were in attendance with strong
representation from Scotland, the USA, Canada, and England as well as
individuals from Australia and South Africa. Included events were
talks on Rattray Clan history, the Gaelic language, the Clan Rattray
Database, and legends of the area; a coach tour to interesting Clan
locations; a formal supper; a ceilidh; a service at the Rattray Church
of Scotland; the Blairgowrie/Rattray Highland Games; and a tour,
barbecue and annual general meeting at the ancestral seat. Contact me,
