Subject: [GENBOX] How do I display Residency Date/Place on Charts?
Date: Sat, 29 Oct 2011 17:01:42 +0100

David,

I don't think I've got the hang of replying to this mailing list yet. Is there a good help file anywhere?
My previous reply was sent from a GENBOX Digest email in my inbox.
I use a 'live.co.uk' email account (same as hotmail.co.uk).

Anyway, I created a brand new Genbox database (NO Gedcom import), with only myself and my parents .
I added a Birth date/place and Residence date/place event for myself.
The Nonbasic - 'Residency' box was ticked in the Chart Options - Contents section
The Label, Date and Place boxes were also ticked in the 'Event Parts'

The 'Everyone' chart only included my Birth date/place but NOTthe Residency date/place.

So, it doesn't appear to be the GEDCOM file that was the problem.

If it worked ok for you with 4000+ names, I'm obviously doing something wrong and there must be some setting that I've overlooked.

Thanks for your help.

Stef

Hi Stef,

Just tried an "Everyone" chart with 4000+ names and the residency data
outputs ok.
Can you try a new database with just a couple of names, etc, and see if that
outputs ok - it maybe not working because your data came from a gedcom file?

David
