Thanks, Joe. Situation solved. I did the reinstall and had to create a new
database but then was able to import my data from my flash drive. Miracles

and it worked with no problem. There is no problem with file
extensions. You don't need XP mode either. Just install Genbox and
then open your file. I keep mine on a separate drive, so I never have
to worry about copying files around when reinstalling. All you need is
the .gdb file.
My suggestion is - create a directory on your computer called GenFiles
or something like that - something you can remember. Copy your .gdb
file there. Open Genbox and then open an existing file. Navigate to
your GenFiles directory and open your file. Everything should be there.
