Denise, thanks for your reply. I am thinking that Win 7 does not support the
.ged or .gdb file extensions. You are using Home Pro which does have an "XP
Mode" feature that is probably enabling you to open your program. I am
thoroughly confused and trying to get used to this new computer, email, etc.
I was hoping to have everything ready for next week when I have long lost
relatives coming for lunch. I know there is an answer out there somewhere.
I'll let you know and please get back to me with any other recomendations.
Thanks again, Eileen

I had no problems when running Genbox on my old computer with Windows XP
Pro. I copied the files onto a flash drive and onto my new computer that
runs Windows 7. I cannot open the files which are apparently not
recognized
by the new OS. What to do? Do I have to upgrade to Windows Ultimate where
I
can go into XP Mode? Is there any other way to do this besides spending
139
bucks for the upgrade? Any help would be much appreciated.
