Spencer - I put a transcription into the Evidence field on the Source. Then
I simply copy & paste it into the event General Note. The reason I do both
is so I can (1) print out the full text of the obit in the narrative (if I
so desire) and/or (2) use bits and pieces of the obit (or whatever we are
referring to; my examples were from a will) just in case I want to mark the
text and have it output in the foot/endnotes. In particular I do this to
explain nebulous relationships, contradictory info (such as dates), etc. If
I have a scan of the obit itself, I attach it as a media to the Source.
Sounds like overdo, but based on past experience you can never cover your
bases too much!

CheriC and Kathy

Thank you both for the information. It is good to know that experienced
users of Genbox put obits in the General Note field for the event, if the
obit is wanted in the main report.. I shall do the same.
