Shelley - If you've forgotten that source lock is on and had to clean up,
won't this simply be compounded if you could lock the details?

Hi Peggy,
I agree. It's been an irritant for me too and has stopped me from using some
of the features of Genbox to the extent that I would like to (and I did with
previous software I used) because it's too much of a fiddle.
It would also be helpful if it was more obvious that there was a locked
source active (when the source screen is minimised). I can't count the
number of times I've forgotten I had a source lock on and had to go back and
clean up after myself again!

In what way would having the feature I am suggesting be a problem for
anyone?
You can choose to do multiple entries if you for some reason if that's what
you want
to do with Legacy. I don't know why anyone would want to do that.
You could do that GenBox if it had the same feature.
I design Access databases and I'm relatively sure it's possible.
Why make me enter the same CD and citation note over and over
again, even if it is pasted, if I can enter it once for all the facts it
applies to??!!
The beauty of GenBox is that it allows you to attach your attach a source to
every single
fact, but it is so laborious doing that. Legacy has GenBox beat in this
respect.
