Another consideration is that one or more of these events have been assigned
to the wrong class. CheriC

Hi Andrew,

I have entered the same dates as you in a test file but in my case the birth
event was sorted before the baptism. I can only get it to sort after the
baptism when I use a sort date: 1840 [3-8-1840]. When I delete the sort date
and leave only 1840, the birth will sort before the baptism again.

Try re-entering the dates for the three events in your file, maybe one of
the dates isn't recognised as a "proper" date somehow?

What are your settings for "Show blank basic events" and "Sort basic events
first" on the Preferences > Operation-tab?
