I'm not exactly what you are trying to do. You add the Research Targets to
the individual or to an event. When you create the Research Target you can
add a source to the target. Then you can create a Project and attach the
targets to the project.

Subject: [GENBOX] Projects, research targets
I am finding projects, research targets, and links to be a bit difficult.
I'm not sure
if I'm not understanding something or if it just can't do what I want. I
could really use a tutorial in this area. The way I want to work is to start
a project -- in this case it would be a very, very general one -- to write a
of a particular person. I have almost all of the BMD materials I need. What
need is background info. The name of the project is "Lewis Southworth
Mr. Southworth is an African American who was brought to Oregon on the
Trail in the 1850s, at a time where it wasn't exactly legal to slaves in
So, there are quite a few articles written about him and the position of
American in Oregon during that time period.
So...I want to link articles that
I want to find in particular repositories to Lewis' individual record. Each
to appear as Lewis Southworth and his birth and death date. It would be much
useful for it to give the source I am looking for in the research list. I'm
going in circles. What is the best way to go about this to get the
repository I know
the newspaper is in, the citation I'm looking for, the project and
it's linked to? There will be multiple general research tasks attached to
record and to the project.
I did a search of the archives and found a message from Sep of 2005
a number of enhancements to the project/research target setup. Have any
been made. Are the things I want to do possible. The idea of projects is
really nice, especially if it does everything I want it to do.
