Is there any way of removing those annoying icons that now appear
everywhere in GB? Most serve no useful purpose and only take up space.
In some cases, I find them to be totally counterproductive. I am
particularly concerned about:

- icons in the list view: in the tree, they take up far too much space,
necessitating that the tree view be much larger than it otherwise would
need to be. Since I keep my tree view open on top of the individual
view, the list window obliterates too much of the individual view
because of the icons.

- the calendar icons in the event link in the Identifiers and Attributes
tabs: The symbolism is lost on me-- an icon of a calendar page in no way
connotes to me an event link. More importantly, on the Identifiers tab,
it is totally inconsistent with the boxes in the columns next to it. I
actually find its use here counterproductive-- I can't figure out
whether I have an event link without having to stop and think about what
the calendar page is supposed to look like if there is a link. A simple
check box is far clearer and more effective.

- the calendar icon next to the event field on the Events tab: Again,
the symbol of a calendar to mean "event template" is totally lost on me.
Every time I look at it, I think, "Now what does that stupid thing mean?"

Just my thoughts,
Kathy
