Since I remeber the enormous amount of cleanup
on places in TMG seems to me both program
makes it necessary to work with it afterwards.
I think however it would be better if you gave concrete examples
on what is in your Gedcom file, and how it is imported into
Genbox and how you would expect it to be imported.
If you already have mentioned it, sorry.

Hi Anne,
I am sorry, but in my view, you are creating
problems that I don't have. The places that I have
checked does not have any such inconsitencies in the
Gedcom file.
I don't have data registered as "Lia under Botne"
and "Lia, Botne". You can not expect a program
to sort out the inconsistencies that have been
introduced during registration, on import.
In my view this is simple, Genbox should as a first
step just follow the Gedcom standard. This is not
a problem with for example TMG.
Separate from this, it could be interesting to discuss
the name/place-matching algorithm, and how to match e.g.
"Lia,,Hvaler" and "Lia,Botne,Hvaler", but it is best to
base such a discussion on documentation of the algorithm
- so we don't have to guess all the time.
