I raised this point about a month ago when I asked if it was possible to
display a wife's married name on the screen and in written reports.

While I agree that there should not be an automatic assumption that the
wife takes her husband's surname, the ability to generate such a married
surname would be greatly appreciated. When I asked about this earlier, I
was told the only to do it would be to enter each name by hand and to
then modify each of the appropriate events by hand. With over 1000
married females, all of whom incidentally took their husband's surname
on marriage, in my family tree this could be very time consuming.

I consider a programme which reports the death and burial of a married
woman under her maiden name to be wrong. Just check your tombstones.
However, judging by an earlier email, the beta test group has decided
such a change is not required.
