Beverly - If you opt to have spouses in the same box, you will still have
the "unknown spouses" but you won't have boxes to delete. Nor you will you
be able to edit out the "unknown spouse" from the box.
I, too, am seeing repositioned boxes returning to the original position once
another box has been deleted. I'm using the most recent release with XP
Pro. I can't speak whether this is a bug or feature; perhaps Bill can.

Subject: [GENBOX] Controlling layout and editing in Everyone chart
I think I understand the basics of editing my everyone chart but if I move a
person and then delete another one, the first one reverts back to its
original position. I can try to remember to do all my deletes first but I
was wondering if this is a feature or a bug? I am using the version before
the latest.
The reason that I am deleting people is because it puts in boxes for the
unknown spouses that I dont want. I have to use the option to drop the
children from one of the parents because if I use drop center and delete the
unknown spouse, it leaves the child dangling unattached. But otherwise I
prefer drop center. Is this a feature or a bug?
I am pretty amazed at the ability of Genbox to come up with reasonable
layouts for the everyone charts but I really have no understanding of why
the versions that I get with different focus people look like they do. Some
do result in cleaner, simpler charts than others. Is it random or just too
complicated to explain? As a former computer programmer, I get a headache
just trying to think about coding this problem. When I look at the results
that I get in Family Tree Maker, I can kind of get an idea of the algorithm
but it gives very ugly results. Pretty everyone charts was the reason why I
bought Genbox in the first place, I'd just like a little more control over
them if it's possible.
