The report simply shows the name of the parents including the mother's
maiden name enclosed in parentheses. Are you saying that you don't want her
maiden name to appear? I believe this is hard coded into the report
functions. CheriC

I get how the // works, thanks much for that.

I cannot rid of the auto adding of last names though ! I did carefully
recheck every record, there is no entry, tick or reference in any to
married name nor including married name.

The reports automatically produce them though, as in,

Albert Thomas, son of Joseph Edward and Mary (Brown) Thomas

Any other ideas as to why this is happening and how to rid?
