I don't know if this is part of the place name issue, but tonight I started
having problems entering places in the place field of the Individual-Event tab.

For a while, I entered "Wisconsin" with no problems. Then my computer
locked up, forcing me to compact my database. After that, whenever I tried
to enter "Wisconsin," the field autofilled with "Wisconsin Department of
Health and Family Services, Vital Records Office, Madison, Wisconsin,
United States." I entered each letter in "Wisconsin," then hit delete,
which deleted the remainder of the place ("Department...Wisconsin." Then I
hit the enter key, and the field appeared as "Madison, Wisconsin, United
States" with "Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, Vital
Records Office" as the Local Place. After a couple dozen tries at this in
different records, I finally gave up and started entering "Somecity,
Wisconsin," then deleting "Somecity," which worked. Some of my efforts
resulted in "North America" appearing in the Place field, but I can't
replicate them at the moment.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
