Subject: Source template codes in citation

Am I doing this right?
In the Annotation field of a citation, I designate a Web address as
[<]yakkety.yak[>]. Since the annotation commentary is lengthy and I want
to break out a paragraph, I insert [CR][TAB] before the start of the new
paragraph. If I read the Source Template Codes page in the help file
correctly, that's how it should be done.
Both of these devices are displayed literally--i.e., I get
[<]yakkety.yak[>] and [CR][TAB] before the start of the new paragraph.
Where did I go wrong?
Thanks,
Don
