Hi Kathy,

Genbox is basically a collection of views, scripts and instructions (all
created in MS Access). When you select for example a sort-instruction in
Genbox, Genbox only instructs the MS-Jet engine to sort a set of records and
gives it some parameters to work with. The actual sorting is performed by the
MS-Jet engine and this will then return the results to Genbox.

MS Jet (and the related MDAC) is like an Operating System for databases, they
are installed when installing Windows. There are several more applications
that use this engine (Outlook for example, maybe the Register too?) and it is
part of the system-files for Windows. Updating MDAC and MS Jet is not updating
Access but updating Windows.
