Can someone explain this in more detail. I *think* this might be useful if
I knew exactly what you folks were talking about, but I only have a general

If you only want this for a single group of people, you could create a list
of that person's ancestors, then mark them all. (Select--> Mark All List
Members) Then they'll appear in whatever color you've selected under
Preferences.
