Yep, I've been there too. I wouldn't mind at all when the X-icon on the main
toolbar was removed (or changed to deleting subrecords only).
Deleting main records isn't an activity you need to do often and because of
the consequences, I wouldn't mind when it was accessible through the menu
only.
A warning with a list of all the sub-records you're about to delete, instead
of "DELETE ALL DATA for Individual [...]", might be a better warning too.
