Thanks, yes that does return all unconnected individuals (the same list
as Cheri's method from the select individuals screen) but still does not
show unconnected groups. The only way so far I can find these is to
export to a Gedcom and use GenViewer.

Murray,
As you have discovered, when you search for P-fam <1 in the Pick Dialog,

you just get people with no parents, which I don't think is what you
meant by an "island." (It includes spouses of connected people, for
example.) Try a Search where on the Identifiers page,
Father Total # = 0
Mother Total # = 0
Spouse Total # = 0
Child Total # = 0

I think this gets at what you want.
