Wim - I beg to differ. I have exported to a new file a couple of times and
my sources still go from 171 to 328. Since I use the source number as a
cross reference as well as the individual ID number, I certainly hope the
gaps wouldn't be closed *unless the user specifically performed a
renumbering action." That would make an abysmal mess of my paper system.

Hi Karen,

You can't renumber in Genbox and renumbering in Access is *not* a good idea:
Genbox uses these numbers as pointers between the tables, you would create
false links or links to non-existing records.

To get rid of the gaps can be done with exporting the file to a new
Genbox-database.
