Kathy - Instead of modifying the placement of the Excerpt in the Global
template, did you try just putting the variable code directly into your
Formatting for the actual Source? CheriC

I have a source that's a newspaper article. I've set up my source
templates with the newspaper as the higher level source and the article
as the lower level source. I'm using the following Document Template:

[CD]><, [PUB ORIGINAL DATE]; reprint><, [PUB PLACE]><, [DOC DATE]><,
[DOC QUALIFIER]><, [DOC LOCATER]><. Hereafter cited as: "[DOC SHORT
TITLE]"><; [CD]>.

On the Notes Tab, I gave the document the short title: Susanna Lenerz
obituary. (I also moved the Excerpt in the Global template so it
appears at the end of the citation.)

Here is the result:
Susanna Lenerz obituary, Sauk City Pionier Presse, Sauk City, Wisconsin,
19 May 1910, vol. 20, no. 47, p. 5., col. 4. Text: "In der Wohnung ihres
Enkels, . . ."

"Hereafter cited as . . ." should be appearing after "col. 4" and before
"Text." I've tried fiddling around with this, but can't get the
Document Short Title to print in the primary citation. It comes out
just fine in the secondary citation.

What am I doing wrong?
