Good Day Debbie,

Excellent. Your comment 'pushed' me into finally taking a few minutes (hope
my boss won't mind as I am working from home today) to create a Genbox page
in the genealogy section of my domain. I also added HTML coding used by the
search engines, so that should help a bit. If you are interested in my very
quick, few minute page, see http://www.moss-fritch.com/genbox.htm

Best,

Denise

Subject: [GENBOX] Genbox FAQs - Update

After giving it some though I think that a Genbox faq site hosted someplace
OTHER then www.genbox.com is a factor in the decision of some when they
evaluate genealogy software. They are looking for signs of a serious and
supportive user community.

I have just registered a domain (www.hoosierroots.com) for my use. I have
ordered a new computer for home and will be rebuilding our current computer
into a web server so I can host my domain myself.

I plan on making a Genbox section and posting some information on how I use
Genbox to facilitate my research. Of course, just like in any sophisticated
program Genbox often gives us ten ways to accomplish a task. The methods I
am developing support my way of researching and data entry, and are aimed at
my primary current goal of research - as opposed to publishing or charting,
etc.

I would LOVE to incorporate information from others as well - do I need to
start naming names??????? Perhaps some info on how to use places, do
queries, other ways to skin the Census cat, tips for cleaning up a Gedcom
import, etc, etc, etc. Maybe even permission to organize and post some
genbox-list "classics" responding to questions from some of you frequent
contributors.

I look forward to your response.

Debbie
