Hi, Wim,
If you're really writing a FAQ, here are a couple queries I could use
help on:
* How would you identify all members of a single line--i.e., all
ancestors and all descendants of a single target individual? Can you
limit the query to a specified number of generations? Can you manipulate
the resulting list? For instance, can you set a flag on all list
members? Can you extract the results of this query to a new Genbox dataset?
* How would you identify all persons in your database who lived in a
specific place and who are not related to a target individual? This
query would involve querying on multiple events (Birth, Residence,
Census, etc.) to meet the first condition and a negative test to meet
the second.
* How would you identify all persons who were witnesses at baptisms in
a specific country? How would you then create a report sorting the
results by name of baptized child and by date? Could you create a report
showing the frequency with which each baptismal witness associated (as a
witness to a baptism event) with each other baptismal witness?
* How would you identify each occurance of a place name or a textual
reference to a specific source or person within ANY research note?
Thanks!
Don
