For the Hourglass chart use "Chart / Related / Basic"; the default
options
on the Section tab are set for all descendants and all ancestors with no
collateral lines.

The grey background is controlled by your Windows "Application
Background"
setting which you can change from Display Properties, Appearance; this
will
affect all applications you use on that PC.

Let us know if you have a follow-up question.
