Jim - Are you running any pop-up stopping software while running GenBox?
Quite some time ago I experienced vaporizing notes and Projects when using
such software. Once I stopped using it that problem disappeared. As for
the other problems, I don't have a clue. Have you contacted Bill?

Subject: [GENBOX] Sources/Citations in General Notes Problem

I certainly appreciate both Wim and Chreri's suggestions on my previous
posts but am still having something funny going on with general notes. I've
only been using the program for about a month but have changed little in the
way of defaults, especially templates, have some custom report options that
I've saved. Basically, I suppose I'm trying to say that if there's
something that I've changed that is causing my "problems", the program is
very "tickey"!!

I'm just seeing some "buggy" things happening with the general notes tab.
This is one of the features that I was greatly impressed with and was a
purchase decision. To be able to add my biographical info in the notes and
add source citations. But, here's some things that I've encountered; 1)
Every so often, after updating a note with new info or adding to an existing
and then moving to another tab (say pedigree or summary) and then returning
to the notes tab, my last bit of typing or info added is no longer there.
I've not determined any consistent pattern to this. 2) After adding source
citations in notes, say at the end of a sentence, and leaving this tab and
then returning, the source might be inserted into the middle of a word (and
it appears this way on reports), sometimes a few words prior to the actual
place of insertion and sometimes a few words after. 3) Also, after adding
an initial source citation (say S600) and then moving further down in the
notes and adding another (S601) the program often inserts the second just
before the first as well. So I end up with [S601] [S600] for the first
citation in the notes and then [S601] where is was originally intended.
This will repeat with more citations added. And finally, 4) I'm still
getting the program lock if footnotes are selected on narrative reports with
citations in the general notes. I can go back and delete the last few
citations and rerun the report ok but then after adding new citations, this
will occur again!

As previously mentioned, I'm running XP Pro and have the latest patch. Any
help will be greatly appreciated.
