Okay, not giving up. When you enter the cemetery name in the Local Site
field do you ALREADY have ANYTHING in the PLACE field or any other fields?
If so, try clearing the Contact record completely, or start a new one, and
enter the Local Site FIRST to see if autofill will work.

No, that it not what I am experiencing. I get the popup place box that
wants to verify the place parts and their proper allocation to the correct
level.

I have this cemetery already designated as a Local Site:

Forest Hill & Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.

Click on the Contacts tab. Attempt to put the name of the cemetery into the
local site field; get popup box which creates a new place. I can get the
city, state, zip, and stree address, but I cannot get the name of the
cemetery entered into the Contacts area without a new place being created.

I'm not real sure what you are experiencing here. If I begin to type the
existing name of the cemetery into the Local Site field and autofill
completes it in the Local Site field, if I then hit TAB, the cemetery name
is left in the Local Site field and the higher place moves to the Place
Field. Then I can add the address fields and postal code to complete the
address.

Are you getting different behavior for the same steps, or are you performing
other steps?

I have a Local Site that is a cemetery. When I go to the Contacts tab and
try to fill in the information there by keying in the name of the cemetery
into the Local Site field, how come GB insists on adding a second place with
the same name? It seems extremely odd that I can't type in a "complete"
mailing address for this cemetery on the Contacts tab.
