Hi All
If we take the active subscribers to this list as indicative, GB could
indeed do with more users. I have decided to wait promoting this program on
a couple of genboards untill the international versions (i.e. Dutch) is
released. I've dropped the name a couple of months ago but I noticed that
some of them, who have taken a look, are waiting for a Dutch version.
I agree with Jim that GB is not a "starters" program: one has to have some
basic knowledge of genealogy, genprograms, databases etc. In promotion for
this program I suppose the more 'serious' or 'professional' genealogist
should be targeted.
From a couple of reactions I also noticed that some of them who were
interested, were disappointed in the 'producing gen-website' capabilities:
the web-reports are plain html-versions of the printable documents. They
would like to see a website with more navigation-capabilities etc. Bill, do
you have any plans in that area?
What I would like to see in the future is the ability to put the entire
access-database on an asp-server on the web, together with some 'interface'
pages.
