David - For the Living checkbox, you just merely check it off on the
Attributes page. Would I would love to see is the ability to run a query
and have these Attributes set based on the query criteria instead of having
to mark them on a case-by-case basis. As the database grows, making such
modifications by hand isn't very efficient and will probably result--at
least for me--in the Attributes feature not being used very much. If I
could set them based on a query, I would most definitely use them to a great
extent.

As a side note, you can make a Not Living checkbox if you so desire.

Yep, I noticed this compatability problem between Legacy and GENBOX
also. Legacy has a great option that allows you to mark a person dead
even though there is no death information available. Perhaps GENBOX
will soon have the ability to recognize these Legacy GEDCOM export
issues. I realize that GENBOX has a "Living" checkbox but haven't
figured out how that is used yet.

Anyhow, it looks like GENBOX is shaping up real nice and will, in my
opinion, be a genealogy program standard.
