The Other reports have a new feature in version 3.0.17.

The current "Filter" checkbox on the Content Page for Other Reports has been
renamed to "Type" as its purpose is to
limit which subrecords are shown for each main record, not to filter main
records.

A general field-level filter capability has been added: when the data
doesn't match the filter, the entire main record is
omitted from the report. This gives "Other" reports a powerful built-in
capability that previously required a Query to be performed first. You can
report on all individuals with any value in a certain field by using the
asterisk ("*") wildcard, or those missing a particular data value, such as
date of birth, with the "!*" syntax. Or, you can enter a date range or any
particular number or text string that should match if the individual is to
be part of the results.
