Kathy,
Welcome to Genbox.
One nice thing about Genbox is, you can have the Sources window open at the
same time as having the Individual Summary window open.
So, I've been adding my new sources via View > Sources, then add new
record. Once I'm done entering the information for the source, I click on
the key on the source window.
I go back to the event, and I then click on the Source Citation Button,
which you'll find at the end of each field.

The reason for clicking on the key is to lock that source, so it "links" to
that event. Once you are done with that source, then click on what is now
a padlock to unlock it again.
