Historical Society. 1980. VG. SC. 330 pgs. A history of this area told
through recollections of early citizens. Lots of great photos and info on
settlers. Signed by Mr. Winton. $32.00 ppd.

Tuttle, Charles R. AN ILLUSTRATED HISTORY OF THE STATE OF WISCONSIN BEING
A COMPLETE CIVIL, POLITICAL , AND MILITARY HISTORY OF THE STATE, FROM ITS
FIRST EXPLORATION DOWN TO 1875. MA. 1875. G-. 800 pgs. A well written
and extensive history of this state. Includes, among other things, a
chapter containing data on each county, pioneer and influential men, and
unusually for this time, a chapter on women important to the history of the
state. Also contains a county and township map (color) of the state which
has a tear in it but is complete. The front hinge is very loose and the
rear is starting. The frontispiece is loose and someone has covered the
outside of the book in clear plastic, taping it to the inside of the cover.
The cover itself is in rough shape and so is the spine. $50.00 ppd.
